How to Survive a Long Flight

Here are a few tricks to help you survive those endless flights.

Going on vacation is so exciting. The only part about getting around the world is unless your destination is nearby your flight can be hours long. Being in the know before you get on board is essential. Check out our tips and tricks to help you on your next long flight.

Pack Accordingly

Make sure you've got all the essentials to keep you comfy and less cranky. We've compiled a shortlist of what to pack on the go:

-Neck pillow

-Blanket or hoodie

-Sleeping mask

-A book or Puzzle

-Headphones or earplugs

Bring snacks

On long flights, the last thing you want to is a rumbling stomach. Make sure to bring snacks and a water bottle. You can always fill it up at a water fountain before you head to the plane after security.

Your flight might have food onboard but be ready to pay the big bucks even for a bag of chips. Instead, hit the convenience store and pack your favorite goodies in your personal item. Heres's a list of airport-friendly snacks:

-Cookies

-Trailmix

-Chips in small bags

-Chocolate

-Crackers

Entertainment

Ensuring that you have some sort of entertainment onboard when your not catching those Zzz, can do a lot to help the time go by faster.

We suggest saving a few movies onto your Netflix account. That way you can have a movie at your fingertips and you can watch them without wifi! Also, a puzzle or a good book can help keep your mind busy.

Devices

Making sure all your devices are charged and ready for you when you land is essential. Take the time to charge anything you are using through the flight.

Also, bring an extra portable charger for extra support. Getting your camera and cell phone are fully powered is perfect for those long flights. In this digital era, you would hate to arrive with dead devices!

Exercise

When it comes to long flights getting yourself moving every couple of hours is a huge benefit to your health. Walking to the bathroom every so often so your legs don't fall asleep can be a good idea. But let's face it there's usually a line and if you really don't have to go it's pointless.

To really get your blood pumping, try some seat exercises. Especially helpful for when you cant really get out of your seat. For examples of what you can do to get moving check this out!
